The Music Diploma Program is designed for the more serious music students that would like to have a career in music teaching and performing. Students will study in an intensive music program to improve their performance ability through private instructions, combination of structural theory courses and in-class teaching practicum. Introduction to Music (9 credits)
Program Length: 10 weeks, 15 hours class instruction and 10 hours private instruction
Total instruction hours: 25 hours Tuition: $875
This introductory certificate program provides a solid foundation for all beginner music students. This extremely important course tailors to the individual needs of the students in a small group setting allowing low student-to-teacher ratio. Private lessons will also be included to assist in developing great musicianship on your chosen instrument. A Music Certificate will be given at the completion of the course.
Theory Fundamentals I – 3 credits
Private Music Instruction (PMI Intro) – 6 credits
Certificate Program I (9 credits)
Prerequisite: Introduction to Music or through assessment
Program Length: 15 weeks, 22.5 hours class instruction and 15 hours private instruction
Total instruction hours: 37.5 hours Tuition: $1325
This certificate program is a continuation of the introductory course. This level allows the students to develop a higher standard of performance ability while fostering theoretical subjects as well. Students will become more familiar with notational reading skills, various rhythmical elements and sight-reading. Ear training will also be emphasized. A Music Certificate will be given at the completion of the course.

Certificate Program II (12 credits)
Prerequisite: Certificate Program I or through assessment
Program Length: 20 weeks, 60 hours class instruction and 20 hours private instruction

This continued program takes the student to another level of performance ability. The focus is to build strong musicianship and to challenge more in depth repertoires. Music history is introduced to allow more insights of Romantic Period composers. Students will be able to perform a portfolio of contrasting types of music for the end of semester concert. With successful completion, a Music Certificate will be awarded.

Certificate Program III (12 credits)
Prerequisite: Certificate Program II or through assessment
Program Length: 20 weeks, 60 hours class instruction and 30 hours private instruction

This intermediate to advanced level of musical training elevates the student to a higher standard of musicianship. With the study of composers in the Classical era and the introduction of Baroque Harmony, students will experience an in depth journey to becoming a multi dimensional musician. Emphasis will be directed to practical studies on their focused instrument. A Music Certificate will be given at the successful completion of the course.

Certificate Program IV (15 credits)
Prerequisite: Certificate Program III or through assessment
Program Length: 20 weeks, 90 hours class instruction and 40 hours private instruction

This advance music program brings out the virtuoso skills of the student by instilling the highest aspects of musical performance. Students will prepare an intense portfolio of various musical genres ranging from Classical music to Modern music. Students will enjoy a vast variety of music theory courses such as Harmony, Music Analysis and Baroque Music History. A high degree of musicianship is expected. With successful completion, a Music Certificate will be awarded at the end of the course.

Certificate Program V (15 credits)

Program Length: 20 weeks, 90 hours class instruction and 50 hours private instruction

This last certificate program will polish up the amateur musician to becoming a professional musician. Students will be learning exciting and challenging music pieces throughout the program. This program includes advanced Harmony, advanced Music Analysis and Twentieth Century Music History. Students will need to prepare a thirty minute solo concert at the end of the semester to successfully complete the course. A Music Certificate will be given at completion.

Diploma Program (18 credits)

Program Length : 20 weeks, 2 hours class instruction (40 hours), 2 hours of teaching practicum (40 hours), 1 hour private practical instruction (50 hours)
Total instruction hours: 130 hours Tuition: $4750
The Diploma Program is the final stage for this music journey. Students are eligible to participate in a teaching practicum that will allow them to teach music classes for the school. This hands-on experience will be invaluable for a teaching career in this field. This course focuses on teaching pedagogy and principles, giving students a practical approach to utilize their musical knowledge in a private and classroom environment. A Music Diploma will be awarded at the completion of the course
